Doesn't heat after 1.5 years light use

We bought house in spring 2014 with new appliances. As of August 2015, it doesn't heat food. Serial number shows it was made in sept 2015. That's unacceptable if the lifetime of the heating unit is less than 2 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is an excellent vent hood/microwave for the money. It cooks things in less time than I was use to with my counter top unit.

Bought this to go with stove i bought, it is replacing another whirlpool that worked perfectly but went with new black microwave to match new stove. Gave old one to neighbor to use since it was still in good working condition

The contractors who renovated the house I purchased selected this product. I am very pleased with it so far. It heats items efficiently and quickly; it is easy to use and easy to clean.

Love my new microwave. Many of the microwaves I looked at had so many options and buttons it would take a rocket scientest to work it. The Whirlpool was easy to figure out and had all the features I was looking for.
