Whirlpool is the new gold standard

It is the first time I purchased a whirlpool and wish I had done so long ago. I have always liked the look of Whirlpool but usually stayed with my previous brand. It is sheer coincidence that I decided to go with the salesman's suggestion on first my microwave, then my dishwasher. It was an easy install and easy operation. Don't be afraid of change! Raise the bar.

Quit in less than 2 years

We were very happy with his microwave until the magnetron tube burned out in less than 2 years. This particular oven only has a 1 year warranty on the tube. Needless to say, repairs are more than the cost of replacement. We're off to buy a non-Whirlpool oven.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fit perfectly!

We were happy to learn this microwave fit perfectly into the space where our 17-year old microwave was. Works great. Easy to clean. We love all the choices for cooking various foods at various stages of fresh to frozen. Pretty cool.

The fan is really loud.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is so loud I had it checked by a technician. He said it was normal. Don't like the defrost feature. Hard to use for small things (under a minute).
