Love the hidden vent

Microwave Delight

I bought this unit as an urgently needed replacement for our beach condo which was a 14 year old Whirlpool. I'm delighted with its functionality such as the "Add 30 seconds" button vs. the typical minute. Quiet operation as well. Only complaint is that Whirlpool should stick to a standard mounting template so replacement of another Whirlpool should not require new holes to be drilled for the power cord and top anchor bolts. Also, the paper installation template should include an option to place it on top of the shelf, acknowledging the needed allowance for the depth of the cabinet backing, vs trying to adhere the sucker to the bottom of the shelf. Poor human factors. Or maybe have peel off tape at various points of the template perimeter.
