This microwave looks sleek in black and mounts easily.

I like it a lot. It mounted easily and looks nice and sleek in black. I replaced it with an old Whirlpool, which lasted eleven years. I don't like the defrost option as it is confusing. Whirlpool still needs to figure out better options for defrost. Sometimes I just want to defrost bread or a bagel. The top was open and I thought that should have a screen to prevent dust from landing inside. I love the new "melt" or "soften" butter options.

Good looking, great price but flawed

I purchased this microwave about 3 months ago. We are not heavy microwave users, so I thought this model would be basic and fine for us and it matched my other appliances. The fan goes on automatically when the stove top gets too hot and there is no way to turn it off. It turns off once it's cooled. It's loud and can get annoying for the person watching tv in the next room. Also, randomly when I use it, it blinks "door" when I try to set the time, I have to open the door and close it and try to input the time again. This usually solves it. Another random blinking work that happens occasionally is "sepi", whatever that means, I think I need to call for service and figure out the issue while I still have a warranty. Other than that, the macine is basic and easy for anyone to use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my microwave and cannot live without it. I use it to defrost, as I don't thaw meats ahead. It is very versatile, and the teenagers in the home use it as well. It's fool proof buttons are the greatest!

Goid microwave, but needs an accessory

The microwave works great. Also have a matching Whirlpool stove underneath. It seems like someone failed to engineer them as a complimentary coupling though. When I boil water, cook, etc. on the outer stove-top burners the steam goes straight up to the microwave door and condenses on the glass face. The microwave needs a small hood that would mount under the bottom front to project out and prevent this. Doesn't need to be much, just a 2" projection would work fine.

Unit works well. It came in the new home I purchased. Has a lot of features and pre-timed buttons for different foods. Pretty basic overall, but gets the job done!

perhaps there would be a way to make the template for the top to be self adhesive making it easier when marking for the holes .Or make them all standard .This being the third oven put up in the same location , the cabinet above it looks like swiss cheese .

I had a similar Whirlpool microwave that came with my home purchase. I like the new look of this whirlpool. It's is easier to clean and looks sleeker without the vent panel in front. It has a few less features than my last whirlpool. However, I did not really use all the features anyways. Just wish that it has one more fan speed feature. It is either high or low. No medium. It is nice for the price.
