My original Whirlpool 1.3 cu ft. over the range microwave (which I purchased in May 1999-over 15 years ago!) finally died after faithfully serving my family on a daily basis. In fact, all my 1999 appliances are Whirlpool and are still in excellent working condition. I chose this new 1.7cu ft. over the range as the features and operating it were similar to my old one. I love my new microwave, especially the "hidden vent" feature - it looks so "slick" in the kitchen. The full power is great and since my old one was only 900 watts - it heats everything so quickly. I have been using it daily and have had no problem. Five stars for this product!!

Bought this microwave about two weeks ago. It seems to work fine, plenty of space and power, looks great. Easy to install. It does not have the quick setting so you can just hit one button and cook for 1, 2, or 3 minutes. You have to hit the add 30 seconds 6 times to cook for 3 minutes. A minor drawback. It's still worth the price.

This microwave is pretty in the kitchen and does the job you expect it to do. It is very easy to operate. Its low price, good looks and good performance makes me glad I purchased it.

Had the same old microwave for the past 10 years then I remodeled my kitchen and choose this whirlpool microwave and absolutely love it! I also bought the stove, dishwasher and refrigerator to go along with the micro. Happy with them all.

We purchased a microwave, gas cooktop, dishwasher and a refrigerator, all Whirpool products and are extremely happy with them. Except the refrigerator. Problem is that we ordered a refrigerator on October 12th, and were told 2 weeks. It is now November 13th and we still do not have the fridge or any idea when we will. Living in Michigan with a brand new kitchen and having to use the garage refrigerator will soon grow old, it is getting colder outside and we will have to shut it off soon. Any help?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving my new Maytag microwave. It is just the right size for my family. The shortcut buttons on the front panel make operating much quicker for us.
