Nice item. Looks good. Auto vent system is cool. Only downside is needs to be more powerful. I guess it's a 1000W but seems to cook like a 600W
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replaced the under cabinet microwave hood fan combination and was very pleased with the new appliance, the clear instructions and templates, and it was easy to do the installation myself which save a lot of money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's nice looking

I'm not too sure about this microwave. I've had it about 3-4 mos and it's functions aren't very easy to use. I replaced a Kenmore that was very easy to use, however it stopped working after only a couple of years with moderate use. This one is nice looking but I can't reallly figure out the defrosting or how to adjust the popcorn settings. It's not as easy to pick up on and I wish it came with a manual rather than just a quick key at the inside bottom on the microwave.

Adequate replacement.

I replaced my original whirlpool over the range microwave which lasted me about 17years, with this model. I wanted to get another one like it because I figured things would probably hook up similarly, and it would be a comparable unit since the original lasted me so long. I was hoping that the installation would be easier, but it still took some finangling to install, because the mounting brackets had changed. Even though it wasn't too hard to install, and the vent pipe did install where the original was located with no problems. Other than the installation is concerned it does an adequate job as a replacement. I like the hidden vent which in the original was in the front and collected visible dust. It has a blue digital display that is pretty bright so you can't read the time/timer from a distance, which is kind of a pain when you are trying to do other things in the kitchen or another room, while microwaving. The door closes very loudly, (like a tin can sound), which can be heard in other rooms of the house which wakes the grumpy early in the morning. Over all though it heats things up nicely and so it does it's job in that sense. I hope it lasts as long as it's predecessor. The price was nice too.
