We bought this microwave as a replacement for our older version of this exact model which only lasted 22 months before the magnatron died on us. We only went with Whirlpool again because we wanted all of our appliances to match. The quality of this microwave is much lower than the older model & we thought it was going to be an even replacement. The display isn't as nice, the features aren't as nice, the sounds aren't as nice, the stainless doesn't feel as nice nor does it clean up as easily, and I've noticed inconsistency with the heating (same exact food, same time, same cook power). Overall it just feels like Whirlpool cheaped out on this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My old microwave died and after checking out was available my choice was a Whirlpool. I am so happy with it. I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher a month ago and my dishes are the cleanest they have been since moving into this home 2 years ago.

Good microwave oven!

Works great and heats up food fast! Great stainless steel look. Love the 30 sec button feature! The only weird thing is that the front top of the microwave, has an open top. You can see right through the insides of the microwave. That should be sealed directly from the manufacturer. Other than that, it's a great microwave.
