Finally finished!!!!

I've used TT for several years, now, but found this year's (2014) very vague and unclear when dealing with rental property that is part of the owner's property. ie.: a garage apartment that is separate from the owner's house, but technically on the same property. The ratio between square footage of the apartment and square footage total of the entire property did not apply to all expenses - taxes, insurance, utilities, mortgage interest, etc. I know I've got to do LOTS more research before doing 2015 taxes with TT!
What's great about it: Very Organized
What's not so great: Rental Income and Expense Section VERY vague and confusing!

Made e-filing easier and explained very well the step by step process.
What's great about it: Guidance in completing major sections of return like Wages and Income, Credits and Deductions, etc.
What's not so great: Wish there were easier way to talk to tax expert @ Turbo-Tax

Taxes can be turbo charged

Turbo Tax has really improved over the years. I really like being able to switch between forms and the interview. The thoroughness of the review gives me confidence that I won't have any trouble with the IRS
What's great about it: Easy to use - never had to call for help this year
What's not so great: None

I always like using TurboTax, it is easy way to do my taxes. This year was a great experience. I also appreciated that when people noticed that this year's TurboTax did not contain the same forms as last year. The TurboTax people stepped up and made it right

I wish ttax could do a better job for those who need to disclose Foreign Banks account or investments - with regards to the FBAR information, the forms necessary, change in IRS rules, and the submitting process for FBAR. In 2013, the process was that not difficult, however, in 2014, the process is a bit more involved, and it has to be handled separately.

I selected e-file fed return and no for state return. After e-filing fed return Turbo Tax did not ask what about state return.

did not appreciate surprise upcharge from last year's software to complete certain schedules for personal filing!

Push that OX-BOW

It was my 5th year with TTX-Premium. In previous versions, the links with the previous year data was smooth an automatic. This year it was buggy and not well-integrated. Maybe my copy of the program was corrupted.
The Louisiana tax program has not been satisfactory for me. This year it failed to include the correct taxable income in the estimated tax worksheet. I went through the entire package to make the corrections. Having access to editable PDF forms was appreciated.
What's great about it: I was generally satisfied.
What's not so great: I did not see instructions about accessing 2013 data, although TTxPrem files were on the HD.
