TURBOTAX IS EASY TO USE. I WAS TOLD BY AN ACCOUNTANT FRIEND THAT THE IRS WAS NOT AS LIKELY TO QUESTION RETURNS FILED USING TURBOTAX AS THEY WOULD IF FILED BY AN INDIVIDUAL. I LIKE THE STEP BY STEP GUIDANCE BUT THEN I CAN GO TO A SPECIFIC SECTION LATER IF NEEDED.
What's great about it: TURBOTAX IS EASY TO USE
What's not so great: TAKES TOO LONG TO LOAD

Used Turbo Tax for Years

If Turbo Tax is used year after year it draws a lot of the entries from the previous year and does comparisons on deductions etc. Saves a lot of time!
I've been through an audit with a Turbo Tax prepared form. Although not the most pleasant experiance all the IRS challanged information was easy to find using the Turbo Tax worksheets with the results being a clean bill of health.

Well Done

I liked the ability to easily move around in the program when I want to work on different parts of my return. Displaying last years numbers for the various entries is nice too because it helps me remember entries I might otherwise gloss over. The review process also helps find missed or wrong entries. E-filing is great; eliminates a lot of work and expense and saves lots of paper.
What's great about it: Easy to choose what I want to work on and to do multiple returns.
What's not so great: Slow to load program and then the current file.

Pleased Costumer

We have used Turbo Tax for the last five years and have always been pleased. It does take time to get your taxes prepared yourself. However, it is so much easier having all the information filed at home and easy to reach, rather than having to gather it all to take to someone else (which in reality is just as time consuming!). We have had a few specialty cases in our taxes and Turbo Tax has always managed to be the right fit! We will continue to use this software; I see no reason to not!
What's great about it: Cheap, Easy & Thorough!

Generally, I very much liked Turbo Tax this year. I appreciate the option of being guided through everything or picking and choosing myself what to complete.
A few opportunities for improvement. I bought a second home in 2014, but didn't find that addressed in any questions posed in the interview process. Consequently, I had a couple of difficulties entering information about the new property correctly. Secondly, it is too difficult to override data in the forms.

Fix the 1099b work sheet

You need to fix the review process for the 1099b work sheets. The review kept insisting that an "adjustment code" be added to col. 1g however, my 1099b did not provide any such code..
When I deleted the values TT added opposite the adjustment code column, the review process allowed the return to progress error free.
This caused considerable angst on my part and a very negative feeling toward your product.

Generally good but...

Although I like TurboTax and have been using it for many years, there are a few annoying problems. The worst was in downloading brokerage information. I wanted to correct some purchase dates and costs after some research, and the only way to do it was to delete all of the download (from that organization) and to install it again. The edit feature did not allow me to access the parts I needed to access.
Some of the results were inaccurate; for example, at the end, when I file, it tells me that I have a guaranteed refund that is actually $500 more than the actual refund. I didn't get that. Also, the filing time was incorrect, as if you had a bad clock.
The worst was that at one point the file was completely scrambled and had input and results that was not what I had entered. I had to start all over again. It was easier the second time around, since I had all the information at hand, but it was scary. (I use a Mac running OS10.10, generally very stable.)

A feature that would be useful would be easier access to the actual calculation and rules that TurboTax uses along the way. Then, i wouldn't have to search through the actual forms and instructions to find the calculations and reasons.
What's great about it: Mostly accurate, mostly easy to follow
What's not so great: Some annoying errors, a bit unstable, some thing hard to do

Phantom K-1

Lingering K-1 info from 2012 caused a headache. TT advice was useless. Community comments had several suggestions but it still took nearly 2 hours to find the right solution.
ALSO couldn't file state taxes electronically and I suspect (although there was no explanation) that it was due to the lingering K-1 data.
Overall one small glitch turned into one big headache.
