Excellent way to breeze through taxes

Choice of either "form" or "step-by-step" makes filing easy for both the experienced or the novice user. Help and explanation tabs are most helpful with unfamiliar tax terms and issues. Previous year's data loaded into new year's forms save lots of time and trouble.
Only a government change to "FAIR TAX" would make doing this job easier than TurboTax!

What's great about it: Very complete and indepth
What's not so great: Premium no longer supports Farm Income
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Lose the Confirmation Code

Don't like TT thinking it knows how I want to treat and store my return better than I do. No phone contacts for questions or problems and your FAQ's aren't as frequent as TT thinks.
What's great about it: Very clear step through process with explanations
What's not so great: Getting the program to open

OK, but could be refined

Works OK, have used Turbo for years. Mess with Deluxe versus Premium was confusing--needed Deluxe last year, Premium this.
I forgot to enter my taxed IRA basis on the 8606 ; this basis then defaulted to zero and gave me the whole year's RMD as untaxed! Nice, but too good to be true; after I (not Turbo) found this nonsense, the untaxed part was only a tenth of what it originally showed. (Too bad.)
Generally, I like the program. Some of the summaries are very similar to what I used before switching to Turbo-tax, so it can be very intuitive for me (at times).
What's great about it: Gets most everything done. Like jumping btwn forms & dialogue.
What's not so great: "Forms" listing a bit vague;

How do you spell relief? Turbo belief!

If I wasn't sure about something Turbo gave me many options about where to go and find the answers. When I thought I'd found everything they rechecked to find any mistakes. It really takes the worry out of the process of doing TAXES!

Trouble with Quarterly Tax payments

I have to make quarterly tax payments and I know how much I would like to make each quarter. TurboTax will do it for you, but comes up with its own estimated payments. To make the correct amount appear on the forms, one have to fiddle with the inputs to make the amount come out to what one wants. There should be an option to just do a manual input (for each quarter).
What's great about it: Does all the input linking to various tax forms
What's not so great: Couldn't manually input quarterly tax payments

Had to re-install TTax on another computer to get beyond the purchase state e-file part of the filing sequence. Not sure what is on the other computer that causes the conflict.

Trying to file my 2014 Tax Returns...

I have been using TurboTax Premier for several years and everything worked OK. This year, I got stuck in the process of paying electronically. It is possible that I did not understand the process, so please excuse me if that was the case.
Anyway, please improve the final part of the program so that users spend less time trying to understand what the TurboTax programmer meant...
