So easy to use!

Overall an excellent, easy, quick way to do income tax returns. And maximizes your refunds just as good as a CPA that I paid 3-4 times more. Will continue using it like I have most of the last 10 years.
What's great about it: Easy to use, nice to see refunds adjust when inputing, quick, maximizes refund.
What's not so great: 1 or 2 questions where it was a bit difficult to understand.

I had to buy two versions of Turbo Tax-Deluxe and Premier but still was charged a state filing fee. I was unsure which software to buy. Anything we can do to make the purchase packaging with fewer words but clear, would be helpful (KISS).
Can't we include a state filing fee when we purchase the software?
Would like to be able to edit on the forms.
Concerned with security of sensitive information. Is this truely secure? Will I be hacked?
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Technical issues with program

Problems with TT program caused me to spend an hour or so trying to find out what was wrong and then over an hour on the phone with agent (she was very good - just had a bad technical issue to deal with) to resolve problem. Turned out that the "free" upgrade to Premier version removed access to the state tax filing portion of the program that I had PAID for when I bought the Deluxe version CD. VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE.
What's not so great: Free upgrade to Premier blocked access to paid for State filing program - spent an hour with TT agent to resolve.

GLAD I ACTUALLY SAT DOWN AND TOOK THE TIME TO DO THE WHOLE THING IT WAS EASY, THE WAY THE QUESTIONS WHERE PUT FORTH. ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS FINDING WHERE TO PUT RENTAL PROPERTY TAXES ON THE FORM,HAD TO GO BACK TWICE TO FIND THE RIGHT PLACE BUT ALL STARS SAVED OVER 200.00 IN FEES.

The 1099-B and 1099-S inputs were not user friendly. There was a two page help procedure for my land sale which I think should have been more simple. The 1099-B form was different from the input boxes referred to in Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Good link to last year
What's not so great: Poor 1099-B and 1099-S entry boxes were confusing

What's not so great: Could not get on line to pay for State filing but got good help on the phone when I finally got past the computer voice.

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years and I keep coming back each year because of its ease of use.
What's great about it: Ease of Use
What's not so great: Non I could find
