Turbo is great as always this year. It is easy to use just like previous years. There were a few changes this year, one which forced us to upgrade to the premier version. However, since your company gave us the upgraded version without charge we are not complaining. Personally, we recommend Turbo tax because it has not failed us and we have been using it for 10 years or more.
What's great about it: Time saving and speed
What's not so great: We were not able to use Deluxe version this year due to your changes

As noted above, steps one through the forms easily. However, it is becoming quite expensive. Advantage over a tax preparer is diminishing.
What's great about it: Thoroughness and ease of use
What's not so great: Seemed somewhat more difficult to use and did not transfer last year's personal data to current yr..

Why I buy TurboTax every year.

I never have a worry about my taxes. I've used TurboTax for over 15 years and never had a problem, Most instructions are for everyone. Some default entries for stocks should be allowed.
I had a stock sold against my will...I received a check for the sale. I have no idea over 60 years if I bought it, OR got it as a GIFT! My base price? Whom still keeps records so long? There should be a way to just default it.

Other than the above...perfect software!
What's great about it: Easy as eating Pie...ya wanna eat fast, but it takes awhile
What's not so great: Takes awhile, but is picky...Some stock things are not user friendly

We've used Turbo Tax since 1997 and have never really had any issues, until this year. For some reason the info from one of our W2's was not brought over to the State form. This mistake, had I not caught it by looking at the forms manually before sending, could have cost us $300 in overpayment to the state. Not sure what the fix is, but I hope this glitch is fixed before next year.
What's great about it: Usually very dependable
What's not so great: wasn't very dependable this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Does not catch all your deductions

If I did not know, it would have missed my depreciation of assets.
Had to manually enter the information and force the software to recognize the entry. NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH LIMITED COMPUTER & TAX SKILLS.
