Our first time owing taxes -- although this is the third year we've used Turbo Tax. I'm not certain that I did it correctly!!!
What's great about it: Leading questions.
What's not so great: Need clarification as to what has to be reported, as in forms 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, and 1099-B.

Overall, fairly easy to file, but...

The City of Boston, MA collects a yearly tax (the Automobile Excise Tax) which is a type of property tax based on the values of the autos you had registered during that tax year. Your instructions were confusing about how to report these taxes. I finally used the other personal property tax form, and supplied a worksheet detailing the amounts for the three automobiles we had registered this year. However, I'm not sure if this information should have been filed instead as automobile registration fees on a different form. Not all states have this type of tax, but I still think your instructions and forms should be clearer about how to report these taxes.
What's not so great: Problem reporting City of Boston Auto Excise Tax
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Made huge mistake but fixed it

The decision to effectively increase the cost of Premier by 50% could have spelled the end of TurboTax. Many of us confidently use it to file our taxes every year and know our way around all the forms we need to do so. To suddenly discover that Premier had been downgraded essentially to Basic was cataclysmic. TurboTax made the right decision and made it simple to implement the upgrade. Kudos. It will be interesting to see what happens with 2015. Better announcement of the downgrade? Or continue providing the right product at the right price?
What's great about it: Did the right thing
What's not so great: made a huge and potentially fatal judgment error

Premier Version TurboTax

The way the program walks you through each individual section is very important and helpful. They ask you all the pertinent questions which allow you to include every small detail that belongs in the return.
The advantage of importing data from my financial institution goes way beyond what I can express. I wouldn't know where to properly insert all of the monetary data without that assistance.

What's great about it: Loved being able to import stock and investment data from my financial institution. Very helpful!

I feel very comfortable that I have considered everything when I follow the interview process built into the Intuit program.
Instructions are very clear.
It works for me.
What's great about it: Very thorough coverage of all possible incomes and expenses
