Good but not great this year

Last year the Deluxe edition of TurboTax was able to handle my investments with no problem.This year, however, I was forced to upgrade to the Premier edition because the Deluxe edition no longer had the capability to handle my investments. I was very disappointed to have that occur, especially because that upgrade took place during the middle of doing my taxes. It would be really great if the investment capability was put back into the Deluxe edition.
What's great about it: Deluxe edition worked fine except for handling investments
What's not so great: Forced to upgrade to Premier edition due to investments
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Always used and liked Turbo Tax Deluxe but was very disappointed to have to spend an additional $30 for the upgrade to Premier.

Alabama State Electronic Filing

Once one has decided to file Alabama State Taxes electronically it does not let you print out your hard copy even though there are errors that are errors in the software that show too many characters in a line with hardly any characters. once the stupid program decides you are going to file electronically it goes into that endless loop that you can only get out of by quiting the program. Your Tax help were of not help in the two times I asked for help. You are doing a lousy job of developing error free software and training your tax help personnel. It looks like your organization is going downhill fast.
What's great about it: Nothing good about it
What's not so great: Try filing Alabama State Taxes electronically; you can't

Problematic

I had started my return and had purchased my state software. While continuing my return, I upgraded to premier. The upgrade wanted my to pay again for the state. I was on the phone for more than an hour to get this resolved.
What's great about it: The software worked flawessly
What's not so great: Customer service was a drag
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Good program

The snapshots say it all. I accidentally entered yes for business vehicle use but had no records. Couldn't figure out how to remove the entry.
What's great about it: Very straightforward method to do an essentially difficult task ie. filing taxes
What's not so great: a little trouble going back to change a mistaken entry
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Upgrade Required

Had a small (<$100> royalty payment and TT would not let me proceed without upgrading to Premier edition requiring an extra $75.
What's great about it: Easy and manueverable
What's not so great: Upgrade is expensive
