You changed TOO MUCH stuff

I can say one bright spot is I recieved excellent help from your rep when I called with a question she was awesome.
What's great about it: not many
What's not so great: You changed everything and charged more for less

My one peeve every year

There is just something agonizing about having to scroll down each and every time to get to the next tax subject. I can understand why TT does this as it is a visual check for the User as they scroll. But as the list gets longer and longer, so does the scrolling. I'd like to see a "Continue If You Know What Your Doing Button" in the top right corner to keep from all the incessant scrolling. Doing this annual task is as much fun as root canal. How I long for a simple flat tax. But that will never happen as there is literally billions of business service tied to the stupid USA Tax Code. Anyways, how about a "Skip Button if You Know What Your Doing" rather than all the scrolling. Thank you for your time.
What's great about it: Used TT for decades, I'd be lost withiout it
What's not so great: The Continue Button

been using turbo tax for about 12 years. seem to be reasonable about incorporating suggestions. you can get through this necessary task of life each year in a couple of hours; great to pastime on a stormy night and nothing else is on. consider adding links to IRS publications for more in depth review of certain tax situations.
What's great about it: better ability to zoom to form sections that you want review in detail
What's not so great: would like to have option on printing extra forms for tax payments

My wife entered our data and did a review after she had finished. I am a licensed CPA and file returns for others professionally. We have used Tuirbo Tax for some time. I did not like how the review process flips you through the Step-by-Step data-entry process. For me, I just wanted to review completed forms. Toggling back and forth took extra time and was frustrating for me and added too much time.
Also we are residents of Tennessee; however only I had Virginia-source income. My wife happened to enter her data as the "taxpayer" and my data as the "spouse". The package forced us to switch the data in order for me to file a Virginia Non-Resident income tax return to correctly file in VA for my income only. There should be an option within the Virginia module to allow for the "spouse's" income to be reflected on the Non-Resident return rather than an automatic default to the "taxpayer". This needs to be clarified when either entering the data at the Federal level or an option in the VA module to allow for designating the Spouse's income for a "Married, filing separate" option in Virginia.
What's great about it: Accuracy guaranteed. Reasonable price
What's not so great: Clunky during review and toggling between Forms view and Step-by-Step

This company want above what was required as I had a stock sale and paid for only the home edition. Very helpful, very easy to use.

Reduced Features This Year

In all years past, with the Deluxe version, I could enter stock trades. Not any more. Now have to pay $30 more for the Premier version.
I didn't verify it this year, but in the past when I left out something that I had filed in the past (such as state sales tax deduction), it didn't ask me about it. Almost missed that one year.
What's great about it: Easy to enter information
What's not so great: Deluxe No Longer Supports Stocks

Good for Federal Tax, Poor State Tax Experience

Very good federal experience -- and that good experience came to an end when I moved on to the state tax section. There was NO supporting material like help guides or all the forms. It didn't tell me it had selected standard deduction or itemized deduction for the state -- I had to read through all the forms to figure out why my number stayed static. And: I lack confidence that my state tax numbers are correct, because there was so little transparency, explanation or help. Intuit, you can and should do better.
What's great about it: Highlighted itemizations for federal return. Clear explanations
What's not so great: State tax section had almost no help, no explanations. Wasted a lot of time trying to research forms online to compensat

I ran into problems with my state returns and I need to send more info in order to get my refund
What's not so great: I had to purchase/upgrade to premium simply to get another form and then got a letter from state w/ problem w/ forms
