INTUIT, TURBOTAX & QUICKEN

No matter who I've dealt with in the INTUIT organization, they have ALWAYS gone above and beyond with any problem or question I have. I've been an INTUIT user since Quicken for DOS 1.0 out of the Palo Alto basement startup and have had top of the line experience in ALL my Intuit dealings.

Credit Card Payment

I've been using the software for over 5 years. It is very easy to use. But this time, it was a nightmare to use my credit card to pay for State Tax and Audit Defense. I had to call a number of times to get it through. All the associates that I spoke with were nice but it took a long time to reach to them. The automated phone took a lot of time as it didn't recognize my email address. Also, the first associate that I spoke to would take payment for only State Tax, but not Audit defense. She gave a phone number to call. I called but came to know that they would not give me a confirmation number to enter in the software.So, I had to call Turbo Tax again. Not a good experience and would certainly need to see better next year.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Credit Card Payment won't go through. Had to call a couple of times.

What's not so great: for more complicated taxes it's best to sit w/ an account

What's great about it: Easy to use, great interface to major financial institutions make it easy to download critical and complex information.
What's not so great: Some instructions and process steps can be a little confusing. Onscreen help menus are not as good as they could be.

Good product

I've been using TurboTax for a number of years. It worked as expected this year. The disappointment was the intentional product limitations this year. When upgrading, you should get enhanced product offerings, but this year, they required you to purchase the enhanced product just to e-file. Big problem! Hope they resolve this before TurboTax 2015.
What's great about it: Worked as expected
What's not so great: Customer service this year was lacking
