Fast and Efficient

I've used TurboTax a number of years for its convenience and efficiency. E-filing is great. In the past I had always used the Deluxe version - this year was forced to use Premier because of Schedule D entries....Turns out TurboTax will realign its offerings next year to conform to past years and refund us for buying the upgraded version. It's good Intuit recognized its misalignment based on customer feedback and responded.
What's great about it: Intuitive; Ease of filing
What's not so great: 1099-Misc Income misplaced; Corrected manually, but not as intuitive

Thanks for fixing the confusion with Deluxe and going back to the familiar way next year.
What's great about it: So easy to do my taxes with Turbo Tax.
What's not so great: Missing the items I was used to in the Deluxe package.

Walked me through my first K-1

Been using Turbo Tax since 1999, plan to keep on using it long into the future. They do a great job of keeping me up to date with changes to the Tax Code. It would be great if they emailed through the year to warn you of possible pitfalls due to new Tax Law changes, like "Get Healthcare before ObamaCare hits you for X hundred dollars!" or "March 1st, if you've contributed Y dollars this time last year you would be on your way to maximizing your IRA contribution and getting Z dollars back on your refund"
What's great about it: Very easy to use, anyone can file this way
What's not so great: it's taxes... what do you think the cons are??? PAYING TAXES, everything else was great
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Information doesn't always remain once input. SO when you go back to a section some of the inputs are blank again. Certain pop up screen don't appear and you don't know what to do moving forward. TurboTax should come with all the necessary form and should not cost extra.

That was easy!

Overall the product is excellent. It makes Tax filing a no-brainer. I'd love to find out about potential tax savings before hand, if possible - "Did you know you could save xx now/later if you contribute xx to an IRA account."
What's great about it: I really love the step by step guide, section summary and error checks

TurboTax Explains Everything

Had a somewhat complex return - multiple states, inheritance, itemized deductions, K-1's, interest, dividends, foreign investments, multiple W2's, social security, retirement, RMDs, etc. You name it, TurboTax nailed it.
What's great about it: TurboTax Premium covered all my tax issues
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

TurboTax Premier

It is an easy to use product that really takes a lot of the tediousness out of doing taxes. It does a good job of covering the tax return nuances and has very good online access to information and tutorials. it makes some of the difficult areas such as equity trading much easier to capture for the taxes. I have been using TurboTax for the last 14 years and it has taken a lot of the burden out of doing taxes. The one thing that would be helpful is to be able to navigate and finish a section and be able to leave that spot gracefully.
What's great about it: Easy to follow as a guided exercise or fairly easy to move to particular area of the return. Imports Financials well.
What's not so great: When navigating to a particular part of the return it requires revisiting sections that have been answered.

I will need to seriously consider what to use next year due to the upgrade cost.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: The charge for upgrade was completely unexpected and was due to a very small royalty income that barely covered upgrade
