Seamless entry/filing

This is 5th year with Turbo Tax; it seems easier and more efficient each year. It must be due to your staff being on top of
tax laws/changes and 'fine-tuning' your software.

State problems resolved

I had to blank out information while filling out my State Tax Return and the action was not obvious. The problem was selling an out of state house. The on line support was very good at helping me resolve the issue and I was able to quickly complete the tax return and file after receiving the help.
What's great about it: Handled my house sale and investment income very well.
What's not so great: Had trouble with house sale in state tax section

Even though it is wonderfully fast and asks all the right questions, it didn't get me out of paying any tax.
Oh well, I can dream!
What's great about it: Fast, coaches
What's not so great: Still had to pay taxes :)

I was disgusted that Intuit disabled 2014 TT Deluxe Schedule C, D, E. Then they forced the customer to upgrade to Premier without disclosing the reason for the upgrade.
Form CSA1099R didn't 'remember' my entry from 2013.
What's great about it: Process works as easily as the convoluted tax system allows
What's not so great: TT Deluxe required (free) upgrade to Premier to complete

Turbotax 2014 Premier Edition

Overall, this is an excellent tax prep program--especially like the direct import feature for 1099_Div & 1099_Int. Saves input time! Also like the "ItsDeductible" website for pricing/entering non-cash charitable deductions & import into Turbotax feature. Generally, Turbotax just gets better every year.
What's great about it: Step-by-step entry instrucs & excellent error analysis/error checks.
What's not so great: Need better alerts if try to close program without saving. Can lose data.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
