for the price you pay for the tax program, it is good for taxes up to a certain level.
What's great about it: program is well thought out
What's not so great: never got my one free state filing!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

figuring cost bases on stocks sold frustrating. More from trying to figure out 1099-B forms.
What's not so great: moving 1099 to Premier
Pros: I bought or sold investments

This customer did not provide a text review.
What's not so great: Some questions did not explain themselves enough. I had to guess at what you were asking.

Long Time User Disappointed

Turbo tax is not as good or easy as it used to be. I have used it for years and now in the middle of it, I have to pay more for an upgrade. I am not getting anything for the upgrade. My return is no different than previous years. I guess I will do something else next year.

Disappointed with 2014 product.

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 20 years.
First, this is the first year that I have found mistakes with my return. Specifically my medical deduction, Schedule A, exceeded the expenses that I entered.
Secondly, I was not able to file my deceased father in law's taxes electronically. (He died in 2014 and had no problem filing electronically his 2013 taxes.)
What's not so great: Incorrect total for Medical deductions Schedule A and electronic filing issues.

As mentioned, in CONS, I have not been able to retrieve my forgotten/misplaced password to enter my account. Therefore, I was unable to access getting help on certain specific areas for entering information for some of the forms necessary for the completion of my Federal Return. Due to the incomplete information provided by some on the 1099-B and 1099-R Forms. I had to spend considerable time researching due to the inaccessibility of the "Help Function" because I could not get a password reset.
What's great about it: Ease of entering step-by-step data
What's not so great: Still not able, after two weeks of "expired emails", to retrieve my forgotten or misplaced password to access my accoun
Pros: I bought or sold investments
