to many upgrades

I had to upgrade to premier because capitol gains were not included in the homeowner edition??????????? I seems to me that most homeowners have some sort of capitol gains. H&R Block's deluxe includes capitol gains and misc-c business expenses.

Good Experience with TurboTax 2014

For the most part, TurboTax is easy to use. Information downloading is fast and accurate. The help-line is excellent. They spent as much time as was needed to solve problems and were very well-informed on the details of TurboTax. That is well-worth the extra cost for the Premier version. I found the inputing of information for K-1 forms to be harder than it should be. It's not very user-friendly for this task. Most of my help-line needs were related to getting the errors resolved for my K-1's. Putting the charitable organizations in alphabetical order would be very helpful.
What's great about it: Easy to use; accurate downloading of information; excellent helpline
What's not so great: Sometimes not that user-friendly, particularly for K-1 forms.

Since all your users will need to and should save the tax data information, please add "SAVE AS" to your FILE function. It will greatly enhance customer experience.
What's great about it: Turbotax is relatively easy to use and is a great tax package
What's not so great: Can't find "SAVE AS" function

Taxes made easy

I had to do my taxes, my late brother's taxes, and now my elderly parents taxes. What a Blessing to have Turbo Tax, makes tax time a true joy, not the dread I used to feel when filling out the forms longhand. Thanks Turbo Tax!

Poor disc?

I've enjoyed using Turbo Tax over many years with great results. This year was nothing but frustration, freezing frames, and many reboots just to get started or to get to where I left off. Spent more time with task management and 'program not responding.'
I'm really hesitant to use the product next year. A test of all my systems resulted in no issues with my computer.
Before this year, I recommended Turbo Tax highly.

Absolutely, Positively "The Best"

I have been using the yearly Turbo update for over 20 years. I wouldn't do without it. It is fast and easy to complete and appears to have all tax areas covered. Requires simple input from me - usually "Yes and No" questions or bullets to complete. Takes your last year's return from the system and fills in a lot of basic information in the new form and lets you see what you previously claimed versus the current year. I had different complex forms to complete for two years, and again I was given easy directions to follow. My effort is minimal. It's a winner! It has been improved each year. Hard to believe a competitor could top Turbo Tax. In fact, I cannot think of the name of a competitor at the moment. As far as taking my taxes to a storefront tax service, I would rather stay at home with my feet up on a recliner and the laptop on my lap and be finished in a couple of hours. Plus my one experience with an outside tax preparer was a horror. I had to re-do the tax return. That was pre-Turbo Tax. Also, during the Pre-Turbo Tax years I would sharpen my pencils, get out my calculator and erasers and spend many hours reading IRS instructions and filling out the tax forms. It was a horrible period in history. I dreaded tax time, I dreaded the process, I kept finding reasons not to start, and I was brain-dead when I finished. I love and trust Turbo Tax software. Can you tell that I'm a very happy customer?
What's great about it: Arrives pomptly every year. Automatically updates software. Directions easy to follow.
What's not so great: Nothing of importance.

I like Turbo Tax a lot better than some of the other programs out there.
What's great about it: As a whole tax program I like it and fairly easy to follow.
What's not so great: Sometime I get lost going between forms.

desperately need to add a menu on adjustments to income, specifically allowing user to trigger use of ABP and Accrued interest, you capture the info from downloads it seems but don't put it on Sch B, at least have a user option to have TT put it in vs. having to override manually to do it - as it is it isn't obvious that TT has / has not used the adjustment so you not only have to manually put it in but have to check that it isn't already in there
What's great about it: captures most everything and decent analytics
What's not so great: repetitive, clumsy interface if want to do it yourself topic wise
