Only problem was trying to list donations with dates items were given during the year.
What's great about it: Have used for years and each year I see a difference & improvement.
What's not so great: Information on donations filings etc would help if given in advance.

cumbersome and unstable

if TT doesn't improve their handling of stock trades this will be the last year i use Turbo TAX. I'm an active trader and 1099B didn't download accurately which took many hours to manually imput. the program kept closing unexpectedly maybe due to large transaction field.
What's great about it: everything easy to follow minus stock transactions
What's not so great: cost basis for stock transactions is a joke

Disappointed

What a disappointment to get half way through entering information to find out I HAD to upgrade to Turbo Tax Premier.
And I had to pay for that one form that should have been included with the Deluxe version.

Overall excellent experience

The preparation of the returns(Federal and State) was done in a methodical, logical manner. All the areas covered were done so thoroughly. There were schedules completed for me that I, likely, would not have prepared on my own. Should I need support for questions in the future, it would be available. Good job here.
I did find that I was prevented from completing the e file process because of "errors" in a support schedule for the Form 8949. The schedule did not contain an adjustment code because one was not included on the 1099B sent to me. Until a code was added, I could not e file. Help was difficult to find until I saw an answer given to someone else who had the same problem. The code I added made no sense to me and related to nothing I knew. but made the program work. Very frustrating. Please correct this for next year.
What's great about it: I have confidence that all income and deductions are covered with a 100% degree of accuracy.
What's not so great: The e-file process was made difficult by, what I interpret as a software weakness.

Errors

Between you or Schwab I have 6 errors. Your software does not let me adjust the 1099 it shows a confusing window of the 1099 than only a tax consultant may figure out.

Why I love Turbo Tax

I was able to do the taxes in the privacy of my home and had to explain nothing to anyone. It is very straight forward and easy to use.
I did all the taxes sitting in my desk chair. I use my Quick Books program and it is zip, zip; print copies and the taxes are done and e-filed, with the refund to be deposited.
I would never consisder using another tax program.
AND with purchasing the Audit Defense. I am relaxed and do not worry about having any mistakes!!!

Long Time User

Better than some years, not as good as others. Bought premier this year, but wonder if it was worth it. Looked the same and had the forms I normally used with Deluxe.
Really miss the future tax estimator, but will just run again using next year's income estimates and get a ball park.
I'm loyal to TT and will be back next year.
What's great about it: Access to individual forms allows me to get into the details of the return without printing
What's not so great: No tax estimator for next year unless I missed it...
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
