When I payed by credit card for state filling I would like the opportunity to be able to print a receipt for my records.
Plus I did not like the fact that you changed the deluxe version
to no longer be able to the same things with it that I was able to do last year. I needed to upgrade to the next version.

State return problem and 2014 content change

The Turbo Tax program was absolutely convinced I needed to file a State return even though I told it federal only. It continued this problem right up through my e-file procedure. I finally had to put four zero's in the upper left box of the requested state carry over form to allow me to finish my filing. It became quite frustrating.
The surprise of all schedules not being included in this version as it was last year was frustrating also. You did however include a free upgrade to correct this. Good for you doing that.
What's great about it: You fixed your lack of sched D etc.
What's not so great: Lacked sched D etc Could not get out of state return scenario
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

Some undesired changes

I always love using Turbo Tax, but this year there were a few unhelpful changes. First, and you already know about this, we don't like that we had to buy Premier instead of Deluxe just because we have investments. And if we need Schedule D, at a very simple level, we don't see why we need to go "up" a product. Also, when we filed and were asked about backing up to iCloud, we would prefer to back it all up to our own computer, but that option was not offered. Why not?
What's great about it: Great product! Always rely on it.
What's not so great: Don't want to backup to icloud

Disappointed this year

TT was a major inconvenience this year. The attempt to extract an extra fee for the same service as in previous years was quite irritating and reflected heavily on my perception of the product. Although the final outcome was acceptable the path was not transparent and discovered only when i explored somewhat obscure buttons. I have reduced the rating of this product from excellent to about FAIR and have begun to explore other options for 2015.
What's great about it: Product available early and did not change much thereafter.
What's not so great: Huge distraction due to product and marketing changes from 2013.

Fast n Easy

The program did exactly what it was advertised to do- allow entry of data easily with clear explanations when needed.
What's great about it: Easy to install and use
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Using Turbo Tax

I enjoy using Turbo Tax because I can leave it and return to it as I gather info and review many times before I'm happy with it. Oftentimes, as I walk away for a day or 2, I remember other items I need to add. So easy!!
What's great about it: Very easy for anyone to use, heretofore I'd never had a problem.
What's not so great: This year I am held back from printing and finalyzing son's return unless I pay a 2nd time!! Some forms excluded.

Almost too easy

I've used TurboTax for several years now and I always wonder why I wait 'til the last minute to file since it is really painless and doesn't take that long at all.
What's great about it: Steps you through filling out your return
What's not so great: Sometimes the language/terms can be confusing but pretty good explanations are provided

Taxes have gotten complex & confusing

Probably the best product available for completing & flling taxes, but leaves you uneasy about if your answers to the questions have enter the data/amount in the correct places.
Must go to 'Forms view but that seems difficult to get out of.
