Relieved after the hipe

What's great about it: Went exactly as the past 13 yrs... easy.
What's not so great: The bad reviews worried me, but the free upgrade to Premium went exactly as promides

Multi-person filer

I prepare returns for my kids, parents, and girlfriend - multi-state and small businesses included. TurboTax can guide you through the normal tax complications and explain stupid sections of the tax code. A little issue this year with the state of OK and importing files - took a few extra hours with a turbo tax representative to find the bug and work it out. Through that process (free), they were very helpful and promised to track down the offending bug before next year.
What's great about it: Quick download of prior year, skip to sections you need
What's not so great: Issue with importing some files

TurboTax makes it easy and accurate

As mentioned, only complaint was confusion caused by initially requiring Premier version to handle investments and "upgrade" process for Deluxe (even though no charge).
What's great about it: Step by step instructions to make sure you not overlook any category.
What's not so great: n/a, except for TT overlooking the forms needed for investments this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

turbo tax error

Takes the worry out

As you can see I love Turbo Tax. A lot of thought has gone into this product, the inputs are simple, the instructions are great. I love the e-file instructions and so many choices on how to pay your Tax.
Also I had to Amend my last few years State and Federal Tax returns. I spoke with your customers service people they were clear and helpful.
What's great about it: easy input, no arithmetic worries, good instructions, great product!
What's not so great: Nothing comes to mind.

First time disappointed

I've used Turbo Tax for years and I've always found it easy and straight-forward to use. This was the first time I wasn't happy. The 2014 App seems VERY buggy. Errors occurred OFTEN causing the App to close and re-open. I lost a LOT of time re-entering data. This kind of thing made me TRIPLE-check everything before filing because I didn't trust that the appropriate calculations were being made. If this is the same next year when doing the 2015 taxes, I will DEFINITELY be looking elsewhere for my 2016 taxes.
What's not so great: Buggy this year. App kept closing and restarting. Needed to save my work OFTEN!!!

Time for Flat Tax
