your staff should review line 46a (health care adjustments) of the Ohio return. it doesn't appear that participating in medicare for the entire year precludes deducting any health care or unsubsidized premium expense.
What's great about it: step by step instructions
What's not so great: some explanations are not clear
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Good and Bad

I purchased what I thought was the same Deluxe version which has the State tax forms included. This Deluxe version did not have it so I had to pay the premium to get it. Additionally, the addition of Schedule D was given "free" as a separate download, but should have been included in this version. Next year, I will be more wary of the version and I am buying and consider other vendors that can supply a similar product at a lower cost. I have been using TT since 2002.
What's great about it: Pretty easy as usual.
What's not so great: Repackaging confusing

Significant problem - When entering taxpayer's info for basis for IRA distribution, program asked for prior years' non-deductible contributions for the spouse (using spouse's name). When I looked at form, my concern was verified as it was being entered in column for taxpayer as I assumed. Hope you have already made that correction.
What's great about it: Like way it walks me through
What's not so great: Have difficulty when go back to change a figure, certain answers have to be reentered.

Good returns with a few issues

Overall the software still does what it should for the most part although this year's product caused more frustration than in the past. One file got lost from last year to this. Also had some import problems where return information did not come through from last year's return accurately so comparisons were not right. From the online help forum it appeared some others had this issue although I did not find any solutions, or where it was addressed by the company. However, this did not effect the current year info so was not a big problem. With the current pricing and past experience, I expected better.
What's great about it: Following instructions delivers accurate return
What's not so great: Had a couple of instances where items did not import or files lost
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Tax season is bad enough, but it would be horrible without TurboTax. It is designed to work for experience and inexperienced users.
I would like it to remember where I am in preparing the return when I close TurboTax and return later to continue the return.
What's great about it: Hsa was more straightforward this year, estimated taxes were easier
What's not so great: When I came back to my return it di not pick up where I left off.

Tax Year 2014 Returns
on April 7, 2015

Wile doing my State (CA) return, Turbo Tax did not perform any step-by-step prompting. It ran through some calculations and said it was done. My K1 differences between Fed & State were skipped. Had I not known they were needed, my taxes would have been wrong since the review showed no errors. After closing & restarting, the step-by-step worked. However, clicking between Federal Taxes, State Taxes, & Review tabs caused loss of placeholder so it did not return to last entry point..
What's great about it: Data Transfer, Available Help Text, E-File
What's not so great: Step-by-Step Glitches
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
