It took me a while to figure out what to do when told that a daytime phone number needed to be "Selected" before e-filing. My daytime phone numbers where on the form. I suggest that you point out that the little "Box" under the phone numbers needs to be checked.

2014 TurboTax

I have been using TurboTaxI since 2000 and I have never experienced any problems with the IRS. I particularly like the easy to follow step by step instructions and the transfer of previous year information directly to the current year's tax forms. Providing the previous year tax entries to the current year tax entries is also a good feature to help determine if there are problems or omissions. I have recommended TurboTax to friends who also appreciated the time saving features and the accuracy of this product.
What's great about it: Easy to follow step by step instructions.
What's not so great: None
Pros: I bought or sold investments

At end of program question: why print required forms? received: this page is not available. I already printed for review all 132 pages of Federal and two state tax returns. Still not clear what are the forms that TT says I must print to complete return.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use

It was nice that you put back the K-1 access that was in the deluxe package without having to buy the upgrade. I would like to see the 5 e-file limit raised for those that do the family taxes for free.
What's great about it: Great program...I use it year after year...
What's not so great: The 5 tax filing limit...Penalizes the one that does for family for free...

There remain many explanation sections that are NOT written in layman's language. Write these in a more user-friendly manner and I'll be very happy with TurboTax.

When printing returns for filing using duplex, Turbo Tax does not skip a page so the federal return starts on a new page. Same problem at the end of Federal so State instructions start on a new page. Same problem at the end of the state instructions so the state return starts on a new page. This has not been a problem in the past. This tells me quality control for Turbo Tax is declining.
What's great about it: Very easy to use year after year, as it remembers your investments and charities.
What's not so great: When printing returns for filing using duplex, Turbo Tax does not skip a page at the end of instructions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

my take on turbo

I am a frequent user of Turbo Tax. I have found it very detailed and easy to follow instructions. Several means of double checking my inputs. My habit is to write all of my income, deductions etc. on an envelope during the year. I put each item under a title such as "doctor bills" along with the amounts. I put all receipts inside the envelope and it makes it easer to total items under each heading for input to Turbo tax. A form from turbo tax, with the same information headings, would help make it easier to use. I was very pleased with the ease of use of Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: I have used turbo for several years - easy to use
What's not so great: some answers to questions not answered in time to help
