Frustrating. Could not see what the program was

Frustrating. Could not see what the program was entering on the tax form itself, nor ability to edit entry. You should be able to toggle back and forth from the program to the actual forms.
Help was in such a small font I couldn't read it. Very poor!
You have been around long enough to have this perfected by now, but you seem to have put all your efforts into making it easy to upgrade to more expensive edition, add additional audit protection.
Very disappointing for my first experience with your product!

Made my life easy

Preparing my taxes with TurboTax is very simple. I don't need to know much about tax laws. It prompts me to enter every piece of information and facilitates the accurate input and checking of all my income and expenses including real estate and trading. It is a great tool.
What's great about it: The way it guides through every item
What's not so great: I like everything.

Having to upgrade to Premier

I have always used Turbo-tax even when I had a business.
In retirement, taxes are simple enough to use the Deluxe version. I only have carryover losses on schedule D. I may check out other sources for next year.

What's great about it: Free upgrade this year.
What's not so great: Have to purchase Premier next year for simple deduction.

Easy Easy Easy!

Turbo Tax has save me a lot of money on 1. my refunds and 2. not paying big prices for a tax consultant.
What's great about it: Very detailed but easy to use
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Solid product

For major investment companies, the import function saves a lot of input time.
Navigating through the sections/topics is very easy.
The program "helps" you determine if you need to pay estimated taxes for the following tax year. I didn't find this section to be very helpful. The "questions" were not well explained.
I have used turbo tax for many years. While I'm satisfied, I will be looking at other tax software next year. If it weren't for the importing of tax information from investment companies, I would not be a satisfied customer.

Love Turbotax for my working my tax returns. Have been using for 17 years. Easy, accurate, and safe fro audits.
What's great about it: Easy to work with, quick help when needed
What's not so great: getting confirmation numbers before upgrading and state E-Filing
