There is some problem with filing the state (IL) return. The program says the form is not final referring to the IL1040. But the form obviously is final. There is some flaw in the turbotax program. I have not yet been able to talk to anyone at turbotax about this problem.
I was unhappy about having to get the premier version just for schedule d, but was happy to be upgraded at no cost.
What's great about it: I always like the way turbotax leads you through the return and the accuracy.
What's not so great: The file/print procedure the last couple of years is not as straightforward as it used to be.

been using ttax several yrs with great success. i was very disappointed this yr with having to upgrade to premier (after buying the usual deluxe version) and just to enter a single stock trade. additionally, and after entering a good deal of information already, i was instructed of the need to upgrade and while in the process, i got an error advising that i should uninstall the program and try again! needless to say, that was alarming. however, after closing the error page, the program actually seemed to be working appropriately and i was able to complete and file my returns (yea!) ttax rebate was appreciated. thx
What's great about it: layout design clear and understandable, good definition help, goback is easy
What's not so great: don't need prepay tax vouchers; initial upgrade error warning was alarming

overall the product is acceptable. Some calculation forms did not allow for an over ride, which limited the forms benefits. Also the state process continually looped. Never got a final recap. Had to go to the forms menu to confirm what was done.
What's great about it: easy step by step
What's not so great: limited choices on some forms

I have found TurboTax to be professional and worthy of our returning to it each year.
What's great about it: Very simple to use, explanations are excellent. It is the 15th year I have used Turbotax. Will continue to do so.

I have been using turbo tax for several years now and each year I have been nicely surprised. Also I have been happy with ease of using turbo tax. I do like the fact that I am walked through each step. So I really can't thank you enough for being so helpful.
What's great about it: able to do myself
What's not so great: cost is a bit high

Good, but

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 10 years. Great product! During that time I have lived in three different states. While living in WV & MN the direct deposit information automatically transferred onto the state return. For the last four years I have lived in PA. Unfortunately, Turbo Tax does not automatically transfer the direct deposit information onto the PA return. Not good. I end-up waiting weeks for my state return. I hope this issue can be addressed in the 2015 edition of Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy, menu driven questions
What's not so great: Direct deposit information does not copy from federal return to state return for all states
