Easy to follow

A great program...I have been using it for years. I had another company do my taxes and then I used TurboTax. I ended up better off with TurboTax.

Every year, I choose to print and mail in paper copies because I refuse to pay extra to e-file. It says it's easy and free to e-file your federal return, but then it wants to charge me at the end. NO WAY!!!! If you want my returns e-filed, don't charge extra. I pay enough for the product; I should not have to pay extra to e-file.

What happen to the free state return

This is the second year in a row I was not able to file the state return fress as advertised. After reading the help section, now I see why the verbiage used to describe the product is incorrectly worded. Instead it should should say that buying a turbo tax product only allows you a download form for state not a free filing.

What's not so great: 2nd year in a row I was not able to file a free state return

Unhappy About Upgrade Fee

Had to upgrade to Deluxe, which I did not have to use in years past. For my situation this is really a waste of money because I don't need 95% of the additional software.
What's great about it: Thorough and easy to use
What's not so great: New upgrade requirement

Great product and easy to use. Filed my taxes in no time at all. However, I did not like having to upgrade to TurboTax Premier. Even though it did not cost me anything extra this year, I concerned that it will cost me more in future years which will effect my decision to continue using TurboTax.
What's great about it: Great product. easy to use.
What's not so great: Cost and having to upgrade to TurboTax Premier

I have used TT for many years

Overall I have enjoyed using TT for many years. I am one of the earliest purchasers every year. I would not rate TT very high if I do not get my upgrade money refunded.
What's great about it: Excellent software for Federal Taxes
What's not so great: Didn't like the Schedule D issues with Deluxe
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is great

TurboTax is very easy to use and is very fast since it can import all of your work from the previous year. It can import all of your banking, W2's, and investments on-line straight from the sources instead of manually typing them in.
What's great about it: Easy to use and very fast if you used it in previous years since it imports all of your information.
What's not so great: none
