Purchased Delux again this year. Had purchased for the past 5+ years. Was disappointed to find Delux no longer handles partnership info - had to upgrade at additional cost. Should have been warned (at least advised) of this service reduction. TT is still a great tax tool.
What's great about it: Handles nearly all situations
What's not so great: Unadvertised changes from prior years

Turbo Taxed 2015

This tax piece of software helped me feel more comfortable with digitally filing my taxes with its step-by-step process.
What's great about it: I liked the simple instructions that users were to follow
What's not so great: None that I can tell
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Premier

Like others, I used the deluxe version last year and had to upgrade to Premier this year, which costs more money and contains things I don't really need.
I had a problem with doing a few manual overrides. In the final review, it keeps calling them errors, when they are really corrections. I find it very annoying that even when I review these "errors," the program doesn't want to accept my changes. I did not have this problem in prior years with the Deluxe version of Turbo Tax.
Second, Turbo Tax makes errors when doing my state return. For example, this year it did not subtract an amount from income that is not taxed by my state, although it is taxed by the federal government. I had to be aware and enter this deduction by myself. It's funny, because the Deluxe version of Turbo Tax would take this deduction for me automatically, and the Premier Version did not.
Overall, I am disappointed that I had to spend more money on a version of Turbo Tax that didn't work as well for me as the cheaper one.

Improved software this year

I've been using Turbotax since about 1994. This year's version has been the easiest to use. It is quick, mostly clean, and fairly easy. My only complaint is that in a few places I had to dig a little to see if I did or did not qualify for a deduction. In the places I had to dig, I found an answer that could easily have been posted along with the offer to have me input information on the deduction. For example, tax preparation costs must equal or exceed 2% of my AGI. This could have been posted before I clicked on "learn more". Overall however, I like this version of Turbotax.
What's great about it: Quick, clean, easy.
What's not so great: Had to dig a couple of times to see if I qualified or not for a deduction.

State Tax Issues

TT insisted I needed to file 2 state returns when I had absolutely no association with the second state. Also had a drill even downloading the state.
would easily be a 4 star without the state issues

Easy to use

I've used TurboTax for many, many years. It makes an arduous task much less difficult.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: didn't like having to download another version, even though it was free

Highly recommend this software

Turbo Tax is wonderful to help me get my taxes filed.
General observations:
Problems I had were trying to figure out how to add a Third Party Designee, how to edit addresses for a charity.
Once I marked yes to the Student in 2014 in error, I could not change it back to no.
Don't know how to correct errors directly in the pdf tax forms or can't figure out which question I have to go back to to get the information in the correct place.

What's great about it: Easy to answer questions, easy to import for Trading Firms
What's not so great: Difficult to edit once I entered a mistake, unable to import any interest from banks
