Bad Year

Downloaded Turbo Tax Deluxe then found out I had to use Premier. Took forever going on internet and finally found what I needed to do to use the state software. Other than this problem I will use Turbo Tax again next year. Great Program!
What's great about it: Have always felt confident filing with Turbo Tax

Get's easier every year

Auto entry of data from previous years makes starting the tax return quick and easy. Because TurboTax "remembers" your previous sources of income and your previous deductions, you don't miss anything from one year to the next. If you get interrupted while preparing your taxes, TurboTax remembers where you left off. My state return used much of the same information as my federal return and TurboTax fills out the state return with only a few additional questions. And I really appreciated the ease of online filing and tracking of my state and federal returns.
What's great about it: Auto entry of data from previous years. Side by side line item comparison of previous and current year.
What's not so great: None really

Another Year of Simplicity with TurboTax

20+ years of filing my taxes with TurboTax. It just keeps getting easier each year. Keep up the good work TurboTax.
What's great about it: Simple and Direct

The 2014 Turbo Tax is not much different than last years. Like not being surprised, makes being intuitive very easy.
What's great about it: Liked being able to select the specific sections. Saved time! Easy download of additional states.
What's not so great: No cons.

Another good filing year

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. One year I tried out a different brand and it was a huge mistake. Will never change again!
What's great about it: Turbo Tax keeps up with the rules

They made a mistake removing Sch-D from Deluxe

Have used TurboTax for years. Should not have to pay $30 more to enter 3 stock transactions that have very little effect on tax return but were required to be reported.
They should at least provide ability to input a limited number of stock transactions - say five. As a senior drawing down my stock account, I will always have a few transactions to provide income for current year.
What's great about it: Very easy to complete and import from major institutions
What's not so great: They removed Schedule D - Stock transactions

All pros, no cons

This product is the way to go for filing taxes. Not only do I save money by not going to a walk-in place, TurboTax gets my family the most money back possible by including every nuance of tax laws and potential applicable deductions, credits, etc. The e-filing after completion is the icing on the cake as I do not even have to print, stamp, or mail the return and the direct deposit is faster than a mailed check. I also love the way TurboTax saves and transfers my previously filed information which saves time and compares last year's entries to the current year. It takes little more, if any more, time to do taxes in the convenience of my home with the access to my files. I can stop at any point/section and save my progress and return as I gather more tax return documents in the mail. I have recommended TurboTax to all with whom I discuss filing taxes since I first discovered TurboTax over a decade ago.
What's great about it: See below.
What's not so great: I cannot think of any.
