Second time I've used this (with a friend's help) and it was much less daunting this year.
What's great about it: step by step
What's not so great: there were a few questions that my investment forms didn't have on them at all...so we winged it!

I remember using the other tax program before and I was totally confused and since then, I have relied on Turbo Tax to get this done with less pain.
What's great about it: Got it done with minimum stress.

a step backward

For simple ESPP, I don't really need Premier, but there is no schedule D form without premier version and now it's a requirement for upgrade. Even with Premier, entering ESPP still not easy. I had to handheld a colleague through it.. It's great to have a free upgrade this year, however, it's not easy to figure out how to get it.
Cannot switch back and forth between forms and steps. It always helps to understand tax preparation and confidence level.
Help and doc are sometimes incorrect, for example referring to a search box that doesn't exist..
What's great about it: consistent with previous version overall, free upgrade
What's not so great: ESPP requires a premier version. Hide too much details

Better that 2013

Last year Turbo Tax was a disaster. A variety of things that had been supported in the past had disappeared.
This year they are back (probably the result of numerous complaints).
I was able to file without difficulty.
What's great about it: Improved support of college expenses
What's not so great: Slow
