Better than last years TTax

Good program, but a bit pricey for the Premier version.
What's great about it: Easy to download from financial institutions
What's not so great: More expensive software than last year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Ode to Turbp Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for years. I did take one year off and tried another product and came racing back to Turbo Tax the next year. It's a great product- lets you start, save and stop, download information from accounts you have, compare to prior year, and there is easy access to additional information and help. Checks your work, takes you back if you forgot something, makes doing taxes much less stressful, and the price is right. The product gets better every year and keeps me a loyal customer.

What's not so great: Detailed 1099 Div/Int earned in various states somewhat confusing

The cost of volunteering was not accounted anywhere.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: When zero tax is owed, software should print short form with zero tax indicated to mail back.

What's not so great: Each year I have to hunt for the incorrect info for my husband's retirement coverage to turn it off.

Educating

I appreciate the option to have the program go through all the items step by step (which teaches me the basics of the tax law); but then I have the option of going directly to topics that I am already familiar with and completing those quickly without the step by step questions.
What's great about it: Teaches me about the tax law

Trouble free

This years version of Deluxe did not have forms that I needed, but did provide a free upgrade to Premier. It is my understanding that the Deluxe next year will have the forms (K1) in the software.
