Programs & Help dealing with K-1's need to be improved - also found that the program dealing with evaluating validity of Late Filing Penalty does not provide for inclusion of Estimated Tax Payments, or at least that's my interpretation of the system.
Other than these areas, program is relatively easy to use

Reliable Assistance

Have used Turbo Tax for years. I am familiar with income tax rules and regulations, but the software makes entry of pertinent information easy and organized. I also rely on "It's Deductible" for acceptable values of all our charitable donations.
What's great about it: Up-to-date guidance through all income tax rules
What's not so great: Can be hard to go back to a specific point for changes

Problems with investment import

I completed my taxes using turbo tax but I was frustrated with the Foreign Tax credit function which didn't work and I was unable to import my tax info from my investment company.
What's great about it: Works
What's not so great: Foriegn Tax credit didn't work Couldn't download tax info from investment companies

Premature review - should be done after IRS accept

I'll know more when this return actually get accepted by the IRS
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: I am still unclear about the "foreign tax credit" and form 1116.

1. I dislike having to sign in to TurboTax each time I work on my taxes. It makes me wish I had another option, and makes me lean toward a different tax preparation option.
2. it is very irritating that when I review information I have already entered, often the checkboxes to the various questions have been unchecked. I presume I must re-enter them. That sometimes means I have to go back to check details I've forgotten.
3. Charities cannot be sorted or alphabetized. I give to a lot of charities, and I waste time searching through them to find each particular gift. It ought to be simple to add a sort option.

What's not so great: When I go back through for review, many of the checkboxes have been UNCHECKED! Also can't alphabetize or sort charities.

I have been using TubroTax for many years, and it seems as if every year it gets easier and simpler..............
What's great about it: EZ system, can't miss just click and go

Don't dink with something that works

This is the first year I was forced in to a Premier upgrade to handle ESPP and RSU. I've always been able to mange with the Basic version before.
The Intuit folks were helpful in providing an upgrade at no expense, but it's shaken my trust and confidence in this product.
Next year ... ?
What's great about it: My taxes are finally filed.
What's not so great: Had to upgrade.
