Good but Not Excellent

The greatest sin was to alter the capabilities of the lower versions such as Basic, Deluxe, etc. Free upgrades was the saving grace. The Basic edition should be brought back to what it was for 2013.
Entering 1099-B "Tax Withheld" data requires services of a detective to find out where and how to enter it.
Procedure for reporting Foreign Assets and Foreign Interest, Dividend, Capital Gains, etc. needs considerable improvement.
It is impossible to enter the Tax Withheld by Foreign Government/entity for long/short term capital gain realized on sale of foreign stock or mutual funds.
While reporting sale of foreign stock or mutual fund in Schedule D, it is not possible to identify that it is a Foreign transaction.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Forms 1040, Sched D etc. Removed from Basic Edition

Upgrading frustration

I bought deluxe and wasted considerable time in upgrading to Premier. Though the customer service staff was very professional, it was frustrating.
I considered going to other software but it was my prior familiarity with TurboTax that kept me.

Handling AMT Issues

It would have been helpful to get an explanation of the requirements for providing the appropriate ATM information and needing the calculations to be made to figure the taxes. Also it would be helpful to identify what can cause the need for this calculation as I was ready to get a refund and just the opposite happened because of the tax rate on capital gains.
What's great about it: Had to provide minimum input effort
What's not so great: No real instructions for why this had to be done or what caused it

Good, but it's getting tricky

After each software update, it asks you to go from the beginning, instead of making the necessary corrections and giving a summary. Overall, it's a useful tool for most straight forward returns. I plan to use it next year.
What's great about it: Interview, using information from prior years, help and advice as and when needed
What's not so great: Cumbersome, State return does not have thorough explanations,

Almost Excellent... Good and 3/4

The screens and help this year was excellent. I had to be upgraded to Primer. This was done automatically and at no additional cost... Thank You
The screen flow and help with the College tuition deductions was better than excellent.
The only issue I have is with K-1 Forms. I no longer own the stock that generated the K-1. This is the 3 year in a row the product showed I didn't fill out the K-1 Form at the review stage even when I indicated I had no K-1 form to enter. I had to manually remove the empty K-1 form...again...
Other than that a excellent product...
