Great since 1998

I first used Turbo Tax in 1998 and I have used it for all but one year.
I'm always impressed with the ease and the consistent user-friendly interface. I really, REALLY despise doing our taxes, but Turbo Tax makes it a much more pleasant experience.
I can work on our taxes somewhat at my leisure; when I need to put it down for minutes, hours, or days, I can easily pick up where I left off and not worry about having lost my place (or entered information) in the process.

Still excellent and easy to use. Updates easy to obtain. Like the options that were offered through the process whether I used them or not.
What's great about it: Walked me through everything small steps at a time
What's not so great: Not as easy to look back without the program rewalking through the process.

Worst Experience in 12 Years

Terrible human engineering regarding downloading state software. I would dismiss the management who allowed this year's changes to happen. When you called for help on this issue, the lines were busy and you had to wait for a call-back. This happened on my personal as well as my business software (2 separate purchases).
On personal software package, you must use the forms mode to take the tax credit for foreign taxes paid. Why?
You may lose me as a customer.
What's great about it: The Tax Preparation software perfomed well.
What's not so great: Downloading State software was difficult/ time consuming.To record info. re. foreign taxes is extremely difficult.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

The info on the CD box is not very good. The tax told me that I needed another type of software for rental property when the box clearly stated that it was for rental property.
Please no one from the other side of the world to answer problems.
What's great about it: better than last year
What's not so great: Could not tell if I needed to save it. Also, I asked one question and no one knew the answer

Importing information from employers and financial institutions increases the accuracy of filing my return and definitely sped up the filing. This is a great time saver!
The annoying issue on the Ark. State tax return was when it automatically placed the mortgage interest paid to a financial institution on the line for a payment to an individual. I could not correct the problem at all.
I have been using TurboTax for years and highly recommend it.,
What's great about it: Imports from employers and financial institutions is great!
What's not so great: This year the Arkansas state tax had one annoying issue.
