turbo tax helps gets the taxes done, however there are too many hidden fees that by the time you finish your taxes you have paid the same amount it takes to get someone else to do it for you. I just spent an hour doing it myself and ended up paying the same amount so maybe next year Il just pay for someone else to do it for me.
What's great about it: gets the taxes done
What's not so great: too many hidden fees, feels like i would have saved more getting someone else to do it

Great Product

Love Turbo Tax, have looked at other software but have always come back to Turbo Tax have been using it since 1998
What's great about it: always easy to use, reminds me of things I need to include
What's not so great: cost went up for same product as last year.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

A pleasant experience (even for doing taxes), Turbo Tax continues to be a solid product for Federal and state returns.
What's great about it: Ease of use, accuracy, flexibility

Good Program

I like to do "what if" scenarios to see the impact of investment decisions, deductions, etc. This may only apply to the online version, but in older versions of Turbo Tax I used to be able to input information and it would give me the choice of saving the information or not. That way I could create different scenarios and this would help me make decisions. Now, you make an entry and it erases all past information. I found this out the hard way and had to re-enter tons of information. Disappointing!!
What's great about it: Relatively easy to use
What's not so great: Can't do "what if" scenarios

OK - Until Transmission

All was going smoothly until I tried to purchase the state transmission. TurboTax would not take my payment. I had to go through a lengthy process with support to get my state payment processed. I expect more from such a mature and expensive product.
What's great about it: Easy Imports
What's not so great: State Return Woes
