Problem with Schedule E worksheet

I have used Turbotax for many many years and never had a problem until this year due to TurboTax changing Deluxe Product- so that it was difficult to use product and to complete the Schedule E for rental property. Some of the issues were lack of ease of use and the bad calculations or formulas. As an example in Schedule E Worksheet it correctly reduced the property tax, mortgage interest and insurance by % that house was a rental for the year but it should not have reduced the cleaning and maintenance amount- so I had to inflate the base number because it reduced my # in the worksheet. In addition- it kept referring in questions to my vacation home- even though I entered that it was rental property.
What's great about it: Glad that Turbotax offered auto upgrade for Deluxe product -tho' still had problems.
What's not so great: Difficult to use for Rental property- due to change in Deluxe product- even with auto upgrade that occurred.

Too expensive

Next year don't make it so expensive and maybe I'll buy it again. Going back to H&R Block if TurboTax isn't cheaper.
What's great about it: Accurate. Audit defense is relatively cheap.
What's not so great: Cost of Premier because I have a Roth IRA stinks

Refunds Rock

The mix up with the Deluxe and Premier versions was a bit unsettling when I tried to do my return early but in the end it has worked out ok.
My wife has never done our taxes but I plan to have her try it next time so she can have a sense of how easy it really is. The help windows are very good and with the community there to help, well it cannot get any better. With a bit of organization of one's information it goes pretty quick.

What's great about it: Walk thrus are great
What's not so great: The categories that do not apply sort of get in the way.

I've been using this product for several years and find that it is better than if I did it all by myself.
What's great about it: Easy to follow most directions

Frustration!!

I hope TURBO tax learned a valuable lesson about charging more to upgrade a program that worked just fine last year. This really frustrated and angered me to get in the middle of this tax prep to find out I Had to upgrade and pay more then start over and get the free upgrade. Took me 5 hours to get it done this year compared to less then an hour in previous years.
What's great about it: once i finally got the the free upgrade understood and loaded it was good
What's not so great: Sooooooooo much confusion with the upgrade and getting the right forms from last year so the program could read it.

Great for many years

The whole cutting capabilities in Deluxe without informing the long term customer was a gripe. I got half way thru my taxes this year and came to a stop. I needed to purchase Premier (Very smooth download and Upgrade) right in the middle of my taxes. The download was installed and my blocked entry started right up and was accepted and all worked well. Now I have to go thru the process of getting the refund. Hope I can find all the right information for the refund. All in all not a pleasant situation. Tax Filing was great as always but getting there was none of the fun.
What's great about it: Just Good
What's not so great: Buying Deluxe and finding out later I needed Premier - Bummer

Smooth Operation

It was impressive to be led step by step through a tax calculation process that was easy to follow and then have a program generate the tax return forms. On top of that to have a system that sends in the returns and enables you to pay any resultant taxes at the same time
What's great about it: The questions were clear and the process logical and thorough
