Surprised and elated with the simplication

I have used TurboTax for more than 10 years. The program
identified every eligible deduction for me. This year
was the best ever. My Taxes was completed in record time.

What's great about it: Much i;mproved and easy to use
What's not so great: No support for Form 4684 Ponzi Casualties & Thefts

Easy Peasy

This is the 5th Turbo Tax form I have completed in the last 10 years, and I always wonder why I go somewhere else on the off years that I don't use Turbo Tax. I will be using it from this point forward.
What's great about it: So Simple.

Confusion

I've been using turbo tax for 20+ years. This year's version was the most confusing in the income section I have ever encountered. You started asking questions re pension plans that required going back 7 years to figure out. Also I get oil royalties on a 1099-misc. When I enter it there, I also get asked to enter the royalties in the royalty section. Last year I ended up paying taxes twice. This year I tried to enter it once but the system wouldn't let me enter it only under royalties. I ended up submitting a 1099-misc form with 0 $ to get the system to complete our return and only pay the taxes once. I expect this will flag my return. UGH!! I am thinking, for the first time, about evaluating a competitor's product. In my opinion, you made a first class easy program much harder to use in the income section.
What's great about it: Leading through porocess
What's not so great: Instructions have become confusing

I hate waiting

I have used turbo tax for years. Seems like this year it is so slow
when opening up and then when you try to switch to forms I have
to wait several minutes. Otherwise, I liked the program.

Problem with Missouri Tax software Premier Verson

I bought the Premier version because I had 3 Trust K-1s to enter and have had no problems in prior years.
After completing the Federal return, I was trying to enter both addition and subtraction adjustments for Missouri and the program kept telling me I had not entered any K-1s so could not enter adjustments.
Someone else reported this problem and two weeks before the filing deadline this has still not been fixed.

Charged for MN efile - but then not allowed to!

I moved from TX to MN in 2014. I declared income from a TX accompanying job. TurboTax kept wanting to make my business address for that job my MN address - and then include it as taxable MN income. I had to use override to get the correct business address. Then, after taking all my info to charge my credit card, TurboTax refused to e-file my state return. The charge went through and I intend to dispute it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Awesome tax program, super "human" interface. Don't know how I'd make it through my 1040 without TurboTax.
What's great about it: Tour guide of complex tax laws is unmatchable.
What's not so great: None.
