Great user interface

I love the TurboTax software. It is very intuitive and easy to use. I love that I can do my taxes myself and not have to pay a professional tax person.
What's great about it: easy to understand and follow
What's not so great: hard to find specific screen when trying to go back

Better with itemized charitable decudtions in 2014 than 2013. Easier to input.
Issues doing intial power up of the program....Appeared unable to "phone home" to get updates. Eventually worked itself out however.
College tutition handling worked finally but how is a mystery. It would be nice if there was more "Here is what we decided works the best for you, and here is why, and here is how you can force things differently if you want to" explanations/instructions.
It would really be nice if the program had a "Click here for links to the IRS publications/instructions related to the topic you are currently working on" feature...
What's great about it: Saves compute time.
What's not so great: The "upgrade" glitch
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I did my taxes this year in short segments on my iMac. on two occasions, I saved my work and when I returned I had lost it.
When I made it to the federal review, a certain form, line and column had been left blank. The exact same thing happened during the state review. In each case, I could not access 'FORMS', either through the Icon or the drop down menu.
First, when I answer all of your questions, why is there an incomplete form, and second, the obvious, how do I get to it to correct.

I love TurboTax. I have used the product since it was MacInTax and have been thankful every year! I feel confident after the review that any errors are found or proud that I haven't made an error.
What's great about it: transfer info from year to year

Turbotax gets you there

I have use turbor tax for several years, It allows me to file by following a simple step by step system, The problem I have had is when trying to change something once put in the system many steps are needed to make adjustments.
What's great about it: gets you there in the long run
What's not so great: hard to change some simple things

glitch w/ sch B box E

limited number of rows impeded importing from quicken. default quicken was basis reported but need option to change all of imported data. inability to manually change all inputted fields was a hassle
misalignment w/ financial provider too.
Would really like a check box to remove all import categories and then manually check what I want rather than other way around from quicken'15 - but been this way since I've been using TT.
What's great about it: better than paper
What's not so great: rough imports w/ financial providers and even quicken 2015
