2014 Return Went Smooth!

I don't do returns online so I still desire a disk with the program to load on my computer. The download version went well, however, and importing last year's return was smooth as well. All my stock transaction accounts were imported correctly and needed no editing.
I'm sure to be back to Turbo Tax next year and look forward to a repeat performance.

TurboTax has made taxes easy for over 20 years

I have been using Turbo tax since it first came out close to 20 years ago. Before that I would work with IRS forms and a calculator to figure out what I owed. The frustration of that process has since been almost totally eliminated for me.
Now I gather the paper work, follow the step by step process and i'm done in a day. The online tips and comments are a great way to learn about the tax code and find out what your eligible for and the program walks you through the forms.
Turbo Tax even lets you download forms and information from your bank and other institutions online. they keep making it easier every year!
What's great about it: Walks you through the process, step by step
What's not so great: I can't think of anything, except the advertising to purchase other programs

Thorough Format

Overall, Turbo Tax is a fine way to itemize your tax information. Having the option to e-file from the program prompts makes the process fast and pretty easy. This is my fifth year using Turbo Tax for filing Federal and State income taxes.
What's great about it: Follow the prompts and it's easy to get everything done accurately.
What's not so great: It's a bit confusing at times, but periodic review of forms helps.

Have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years and find it is easy to use. Love that it saves time by transferring data from prior years and gives nice comparison while working on taxes.

Easy to Use

I feel like I have a tax professional guiding me at every step during the prepartion of my taxes. They know the questions to ask to help me consider everything. Been a user of TurboTax for 20+ years, my returns get more complex, but filing taxes has never been difficult.

Too Much Tax

Turbo Tax did not take into account the unusual circumstances for my much higher income in 2014 due to being a beneficiary of my deceased aunt's estate. The estimated taxes are far too high.
What's great about it: Ease of use, good guidance throughout
What's not so great: Calculation of next year's estimatd tax (see Review below)
