Easy to follow instructions, if I can do it anybody can you explaining windows to look when you need more information.
What's great about it: Easy directions to follow
What's not so great: In the review screen took me in circles

Terrific TurboTax

All in all, Turbo Tax is a great product. I have used it successfully the last three seasons and really appreciate the ability to review previous returns.
What's great about it: The ease of entering information really sped up the process.
What's not so great: Inability to jump to a given page to check all information.

2014 Turbo Tax Premier

I have been using Turbo Tax for a long time and generally like the product. I was disappointed this year when the deluxe version did not allow for capital stock sales and I had to get Premier even though the upgrade price was waived. I believe the processing of partnership K-1 information could be made easier and when a sale is made of a MLP, breaking out the ordinary income component and capital gains component could be explained better and the software make this easy. I spent a lot of time searching for answers and finally figured a way to gerry rig the program to provide the correct tax answer.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: difficulty of handling sale of mlp and breaking gain between ordinary income and capital gains

Disappointments

Your product does not compute the appropriate home mortgage interest expense for loans over $1M.
I used it this year solely because I have used it for the past 13 years and it was convenient to have the prior years' data get picked up with your program.
Your "print" feature does not allow the option of having the just the forms print out--it prints out summary sheets and other trivial information that I don't need--it just wastes paper and gives me the impression that you are hassling the people who choose to not e-file.
What's great about it: Taxes were calculated and forms created
What's not so great: Higher price, forced to upgrade due to investments, some features not correct.

Ease of Use

I have been using Turbotax forever. When my CPA didn't even know what he was doing. I wrote him a check and told him it was the last time he would be getting one from me. He went out of business. I bought a computer and Turbotax and have been using it ever since.
What's great about it: Its easy for a non-CPA

OK, but could use improvement

Wish there was a quick way to force TT to recalculate when I think fields need refreshed values based on previous work entered. Also, though I've used this product for many years, still am not sure how to use the product to handle state tax exempt bond funds.
What's great about it: Quick calculations, easy downloading of vendor info
What's not so great: Hard to force recalculations; state tax exempt anomolies

I have been using turbo tax for years. I have always been satisfied. I had a CPA do my taxes for years, but found out that Turbo Tax was just as accurate and for a fraction of the cost.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: none

Disappointing this year

I received messages about editing certain portions of my return but there were no instructions on how to edit! I have used TurboTax for several years w/o problem - but I will never use it again.
What's great about it: Still easy toi use
What's not so great: Incomplete capability and instructions; exhorbitant cost increase this year.
