Refund vacuum

I have used turbo tax for the last 20yrs or so. Good helper for filing 1040 long form.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: could be more helpful in the state/local areas

Turbo Tax

I like turbotax. Software is easy to follow and I can save and come back later if I don't finish at one time.
What's great about it: Easy to use, nice carry over features so you don't have to retype everything
What's not so great: none

Even if you stumble into areas that give you a headache TurboTax provides detailed explanations and assistance

Upset about change

While completing the return I came to an area that said that I was eligible for $25, due to the change in the program and the way that Turbo Tax informed clients. I went back to finish the return and was never given a chance to confirm eligibility, since I used Deluxe in 2013 and Premier for 2014.
What's great about it: After using for a number of years it is fairly easy to use
What's not so great: Changed the program forcing me to next level

TurboTax Still The Best!

I've been using TurboTax Deluxe for several years and switched to TurboTax Premier for 2014 due to the change in forms availability. Entering information was a piece of cake and the program guides you through everything step by step. While most people were upset with the changes in TurboTax Deluxe, it was apparent from reading the box which program you would need, so I didn't find it a problem at all. I'm really surprised in this day and age where change is the norm that more people didn't take a few seconds extra to READ THE PACKAGING before buying. For the miniscule cost compared to hiring a professional tax preparer, even the Premier version is a bargain when you factor the time you save and how the program maximizes your refund and provides helpful suggestions along the way. If you've never done your own taxes before and you don't have any unusual tax situations, then TurboTax in all its forms is hands down better than anything else on the market. Kudos to the TurboTax team for going the extra mile to take care of those hapless individuals who didn't take the time to READ THE PACKAGING! It's your tax refund, so why wouldn't you make sure the program you are buying will meet your needs?
What's great about it: Extremely easy import of W-2s, pre-filled info from last year, simple, easy to understand prompts.
What's not so great: NONE!

Smooth Process

I like the software. It is easy to use, and the questions are similar to a face to face interview at my accountant's office. I found the hidden upgrade & filing costs to be very aggravating.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Hidden costs are aggrevating

What's not so great: Have used Turbo Tax for many years. If there were any cons, I would use something else.
