Easy to use

It was easy to use and I liked that it gave the form number as well as what the form was. It kept asking me to do my State Tax Return. FL doesn't have a State Income Tax.
What's great about it: Liked that it walked me through everything.
What's not so great: Should know that FL doesn't have a State Tax.

Unhappy about changing software

Extremely easy to prepare and file, seems to have covered everything, but should not have had to buy more expensive TurboTax than last year with no changes in types of forms or activity from last year
What's great about it: Preparing and Filing easy
What's not so great: Having to buy More expensive TurboTax this year

IRS Tax Overload

TT seems to be much better than in years past. It handled most complicated financial documents with ease. There was almost no manual entry of data.
After preparing tax returns for 5 family members and reaching tax overload, I do believe TT may finally be kinder and gentler with some easier to use screens in difficult tax areas and with less marketing. There are some obscure messages requesting information with very poor explanations of what is needed. I don't like the remade HELP section within the software.
What's great about it: simpler to use than in past years
What's not so great: obscure messages & still some over-zealous marketing

Getting more difficult

The external internet interface with It's Deductible is a pain. You have to set up the account and it seemed to be much harder to locate items. The previous way was much, much better. Also having to go external to pay by credit card was annoying. I've been using Turbotax for many years and been happy with it, but this year's version was the worst I can ever remember.
What's great about it: Guides through everything well
What's not so great: It's Deductible interface

My Taxes 2014 from Nicaragua

Covers everything I need, completes all the forms, very little clean-up of details for missing data, easy filing, pulls in all the data I need from the previous year. I have never had a problem with TurboTax since I began using it years ago.
Great product!!
What's great about it: As always, turbotax makes filing easy, even from another country.
What's not so great: For me, there are no cons

One more year, done

I am more committed to Turbotax because it really works for me. A couple of times I thought it made a mistake, but after looking deeper, I was wrong and they were right. However, I have a business with limited income and limited expenses, and Turbotax really wanted to have me upgrade and wouldn't let me input my stuff. I had to let the systems do its thing, and after the cycle was done I went in and modified the Schedule C. Outside of that, it was helpful and smooth sailing.
What's great about it: The process was effectice, accurate and helpful. I got my taxes done with confidence and quickly.
What's not so great: I have a very simple business situation, and Turbotax really wanted me to get an update, and I didn't need it.

Decent product

Who would file federal taxes and not file for state? Turbo Tax should include as many states as Federal returns including the e-Filing. Selling a version with 3 federal returns and one state return (which you have to mail in) makes no sense whatsoever.
What's great about it: SImple steps, easy to follow for Federal return
What's not so great: Have to pay extra to e-File the state return
