EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BACK!!

I HAVE BEEN USING TURBOTAX FOR OVER 15 YEARS NOW, AND THE SERVICE I GOT YEAR IS BY FAR THE VERY BEST. I TELL EVERYONE THAT TURBOTAX IS THE ONE TO USE, BACAUSE WHEN YOU NEED HOPE THE WILL HELP YOU, THEY WILL BE THERE FOR YOU TO GUIDE YOU THROUGH THE PROBLEM. THEY ANSWER THE PHONE READY TO ASSIT YOU, AND THEY DON'T PASS YOU AROUND TO SOMEONE ELSE...THEY MAKE IT WORTH USING TURBOTAX EVERY YEAR....GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, GREAT COMSUMER PRODUCT.
What's great about it: THEY WERE PATIENT AND PROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY HELPFUL,KNOWLEDGABLE
What's not so great: THE INTERACTION WAS TOTALY GREAT..NO CONS

applaud resolution of gaff

I have used some form of this tax program since it came out. I was glad that the company decided to correct the version faux pas and provide free-of-charge updates. Hope that next year will be more clear on version capabilities. I really did not want to change tax programs but probably would have if this had not been corrected.
What's great about it: easy to work with. pulling info from previous filings is great and save lots of inputing work
What's not so great: when following the guided tours, can sometime run down a rabbit hole and sometimes not obvious how to backtrack.

TurboTax for Tax Year 2014

I started working on my 2014 taxes on March 23, 2015 by trying to load TurboTax from the premier CD edition V1400D which was received in the mail in December 2014. The CD glitches out at 210.1 mB of over 300+ mB. I called TurboTax-Intuit for help. After a short wait a technical assistant set up the product so I could download from the site. The technician indicated most of these CDs had this error. Download went flawlessly. Inputs were transferred correctly, and I proceeded to complete my federal and state returns in a most timely, accurate manor with full checks. Excellent product. There was only one product update which occurred after I downloaded premier edition to my mac. Excellent product!
What's great about it: Very accurate, comprehensive, and fast. Job well done.
What's not so great: The TurboTax CD mailed in mid-December has major glitch.

Good with Exception

Community thing is great; still would like to talk to Turbo Tax expert. Always takes me to community answers versus call Turbo Tax respresentative
What's great about it: Filed Two States and Fed. VA (former state) was brought up when I entered taxes I had paid there and didn't realize.
What's not so great: Cannot file Trust Account Taxes for US Federal

Basically Good and Easy but can be confusing

It is pretty comprehensive and electronic information makes filing out tax forms so much easier than it used to be.
The only problems that came up were the following.
- Sometimes deductions (i.e Property Tax) did not reduce Tax Due and there was no reason given. Had to research why.
- Sometimes going back and editing previously entered information can be confusing and the user has to re-enter information already provided.

What's great about it: Picks up mortgage, investments, W2 easily. Steps through items completely.
What's not so great: Can be confusing when applying deductions (i.e. Property Tax) but no change in Tax Due .

As long as the tax codes keep getting more difficult each year, you need to know you are doing it right. Turbo Tax does it the best when factoring in costs and accuracy.
What's great about it: Cheaper and Still Accurate
What's not so great: Tax Codes are too Complex!
