I like Turbo Tax because it covers all items and you have a choice of using your inputs or the program questions!
What's great about it: The process was easy to follow
What's not so great: Had to purchase Premier to do capital gains

Not including Sch D Investment data in Deluxe vers

Very unhappy with this year's version, I have used TurboTax over 10 years. This may be my last, Cost of 2 State is to high, cost of filing in state to high, Poor interface with issues on E Filling, was not specific what issue and line needed attention. Told I need to print and mail Maryland but hard to get final version not draft to print, again per interface.
You need to look at earlier version and stop trying to get every last dollar you can get form your customer.

What's great about it: Import last year, good questions
What's not so great: printing final offical copy to difficult, Do not want draft
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

E-a-s-y refund for complex taxes

Easy fix for my most complex tax year ... kids in college, rental property, inheritance with stocks and sales and gains and losses etc
What's great about it: Step by step and near idiot proof...easy fix for complex tax
What's not so great: none

Been using for years now, works as expected. Should update info so shows side by side of previous year immediately so you don't have to search, would make it faster

TurboTax 2014

I have been using the deluxe version for more than 15 years. I was very disturbed by the recent changes to the TurboTax portfolio. I do not like the idea that I will have to purchase the business version (which is much more expensive) of TurboTax because I own a few stocks, bonds or mutual funds. I hope that you reverse the current policy. I like your product but I don't like being ripped off.

FIT Deductions-charitable

As you add deduction organizations, would like to see the program return to the last deduction organization so you don't have to drill down from the top every time. The steps now take too much extra time and would be more efficient with a prgram software change, as recommended.

What's not so great: When done with a charitable deduction, the program always returns you to the top organization rather than last organizai

Great Software

Really easy to work with. I would definite recommend this to anyone that is game to filing their own taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to work with, walked me easily through each section
What's not so great: Had issues with dealing with stock sales. Could not get to import from Merryl Lynch.

Script error

Several time at the very end when I was trying to file my return, I received notices that said "An error has occurred in the script on this page." I managed to work around it and submit my return.
