Awsome Tax Prep!

The software is very easy to use and the questions and explanations facilitate the preparing of the tax forms for both the Federal and State returns. I would strongly recommend this software to my family and friends.
What's great about it: Very easy to prepare the taxes with the questions and answers
What's not so great: Need more details on how to submit forms/payments when e-filing the returns
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Tax Filing Tool

I had used TurboTax for years and always found it helpful. My income and investment situations became more complex a couple of years ago, so I used a CPA to file my taxes as I thought my filings were overly complex. What I found was that assembling the data the CPA needed was the same as what I did to prepare my returns I used to use TurboTax. For 2014, I returned to using TurboTax. The user friendliness and intuitive entry process was even better than before. I will be a TurboTax user forever!
What's great about it: Ease of use; seamlessly manages complex calculations
What's not so great: None experienced
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

In general turbo tax has saved me money and more than justified the cost. As I said above I made a mistake in my investment strategy and was forced to file K1s.
At that point turbo tax is frustrating and found all of your help sources difficult to use

What's great about it: Fairly simple to use but with exceptions
What's not so great: I have to file K1s and could never do it online and found your instructions not at all helpful

Was required to purchase Premier level when Deluxe level should have been able to handle simple stock and capital gains as it did in the pass.

Difficulty in Preparing My Tax Return

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have been completely satisfied with the program. However, 2014 Tax Year was not a favorable occasion. I had difficulty entered the data as it applied to my self and my spouse and the self help didn't shed any light on how the data should be entered.
Also, I wasn't happy about having to pay an extra $30 for the extra module and the increase in the state tax e-filing.
What's great about it: Thoroughness of software in tax preparation
What's not so great: Some parts of data input was not clear how data should be entered.

After choosing Electronic for Federal and Mail for State the program filed my Federal return and didn't offer the option to print State. I had to back up and select Mail to print State returns for filing.
What's great about it: Easy and accurate

Easy process

I've been using Turbo tax now for several years. Obviously, I like it a lot. One question that I'm sure I cannot really get an answer to is: am I truly getting best possible refund/tax guidance to assure it ii focused on me (the customer) rather than on the IRS...
I'm not asking for TurboTax folks to create an illegal way to force better tax return and violate the laws... Just would like to have assurance that I am getting the best by using Turbo Tax vs going to a skilled and tax savvy accountant.
What's great about it: Very user friendly
What's not so great: May not explore ALL possible ways to maximize refund...
