What I Miss...

I feel like a lot of guidance, including projections for the current year income and potential quarterly payments, was missing. this has been very important to me, and will become more so, as I age. Please reinstate!!
What's great about it: As always, the guidance was good.

An easy program to use. I found if you let the program ask you the questions its step by step easy. Just have all the recorders you would bring to a tax place and you're home free.
What's great about it: Line by line asked questions
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Phone help was SUPER!!

This was the first time I ever called for support in the 10 years I have been using TT. What a great experience I had !!! The young lady that helped me was not just knowledgeable about PC's but also Macs and the TT program itself. She was able to lead me to the exact place I needed to correct my problem. I am SOOOOO

Turbo Tax for the first time dropped the ball this year when it came to Foreign Tax Carryover. It just completely forgot about carrying it over from previous years and also forgot about automatically making a carryover for next year. It did allow you to do all this manually but hey, what are you paying TT for anyway?

Sometimes it takes some searching to find a specific item you want to address. It is time consuming to have to continue going through multiple inquiries to get to a particular itme.

Glitch solved!

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and appreciate its thoroughness. This year was the first time I encountered a seemingly impossible glitch - a mistake that showed up after I hit "transmit" that took me to a "more information needed" screen and a question loop that I couldn't get out of, no matter what I entered into the question. When I called for help, the technicians were very patient as I worked through the background screens. We found the error by looking at the individuals forms and worksheets that fed into them and corrected it. The technician stayed with me all the way through the "transmit" stage, and this time it worked!
What's great about it: Have confidence that Turbo Tax catches everything that I need to report both in terms of income and deductions.
What's not so great: I got caught in a loop at the very end that brought up the same mistake over and over.

TurboTax is the best tax software that I have used. I tried another brand a few years back and got nothing but circular errors. Went back to TurboTax and have never left.
