Huge moneysaver & convenience

Love TurboTax! State of Georgia seemed to do more automatically this year, by deducting some US Govt income, but still needs lists of other required or potential additions & subtractions. Thank you!
What's great about it: covers everything thoroughly; saves expense of going to a prof'l accountant
What's not so great: A few questions don't get asked again when you need to go back & change your answers

Security needs work

The security of transmission needs to be vastly improved. A small window opens vice a full browser window so I have no way to know a secure connection is active. This is dangerous and completely inadequate.
The program cost is too high. This may be the last year I use it since I got lumped into the higher cost version for no real good reason. Since all people have to manage 401K etc these days, forcing me to but the dame version as a daytrader or Wall Street stockbroker is just usury.
There is virtually no support in the program. Posting a question to a "community" is not real support. They may be much less qualified than I. I need to be be able to access real program support (not tax advise).
What's not so great: Securtity is poor, cost is too high, no real support

Adequate, but not great

While Easy Step for the most part does a good job of walking you through a return, if questions arise it can be quite confusing. The program will ask me for some random piece of information it wants for my return, particularly when doing error check, and without any context it is very difficult to figure out what the program wants. At any point, when the individual is being asked for information that goes into a return, there needs to be a cross link to the appropriate form to provide a context for the question. The current approach of trying to completely divorce the individual from his return only creates confusion and a lack of understanding of the return. This has only gotten worse over the past few years.
What's great about it: Organizes and walks me through my return
What's not so great: Easy Step is too divorced from the forms.

Glad it's over

There is no reason on God's green earth that we should be subjected to a tax code that is this complex.
That said, without Turbo tax it would be impossible for the average person to file.
I like the program and have used it for 5 years, beats going to a tax service any day.
What's great about it: Fast, easy entry, flexable

2014 Tax Experience

The first year I have had to buy the premium edition. I guess because it was not the deluxe edition, I had to manually input all the data which is normally done by Turbo Tax. Also, the input require for a nickname is stupid. You can't use your nickname if someone has already used it.
What's great about it: Thorough
What's not so great: Did not transfer data from last years taxes

Great for Most Tax Payers

I have used both of the two major tax programs over the years and have found Turbo Tax more understandable and thorough. I just feel more confident with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Clear and easy to use. I like the ability to chose either walking through each item or just picking my topics.
What's not so great: Was not printing the bottom last line or two of my forms.

Great Product

We love how easy it is to file your tax return with Turbo Tax. We have used it for over 15 years. Each year it gets better and better.
What's great about it: Easy to file! We have used Turbo Tax for years.
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
