Good experience

This was my first year using turbo tax. In the past I used an accountant. I was able to take my last years taxes and do a line by line to compare with turbo tax and was able to catch some things that I would have missed otherwise. The form view is a great benefit but i did only use it for comparison. The wizard walks you through and even lets you choose a complete walk through or pick and choose the area that would like to cover. Time consuming but this is my first time and it is taxes after all. Overall a good product and since I have not used any others I can only rate it on its own merits.
What's great about it: Clear, concise, could switch from forms to wizard easily
What's not so great: Have to pay to efile State Taxes

Easy to use, but not happy with software change

We have used the Turbotax software for at least 10 years and are a loyal customer. We were not happy this year, as we could no longer use the Turbotax Deluxe version to handle our investments and had to purchase the more expensive Premier version. Again - nothing changed on our part.
Also, we no longer live in a state that has income taxes. We cannot buy just the Deluxe version with no state provision.
Yes, Turboitax admits they made a mistake with the changes to requirements to use the Deluxe version this year and we are supposed to receive a $25 refund. What will happen next year is TBD.

What's great about it: easy to use & imports prior year info
What's not so great: had to convert to Premier version to submit same info for 2014

easy to use

I like turbo tax. Only concern had to do with when I went to see about eliminating NYS penalty. It asked me if I wanted to annualize my income. I wanted to try it to see what it would do and then it wouldn't let me go back. Turbo tax eliminated the penalty but I'm not sure how and I could still efile my NY return.
What's not so great: not sure what happened on the annualize NY income. Wouldn't let me go back and change.

I have been using TurboTax for six years and it is simple to use and a lot better than going to have a preparer do it
What's great about it: Very simple to follow. Forms follow well with explanations

Happy with Turbo TAx

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years. In general it is very easy to use. Sometimes you have to dig a little to get an answer but so far I have always found my answers. I would recommend this program to everyone. With e-file I'm done very quickly and get my refund fast, what more could you ask for.
