Turbo Tax is a Piece of Cake

I'm a retired CPA but not a tax expert or preparer. Before I retired a few years ago, we were able to itemize our deductions but since retiring we've been using the standard deduction. Turbo Tax makes preparing Federal and State tax returns as easy as pie or is a piece of cake. There may be additional food analogies but those two will suffice.
What's great about it: Walked me through all the steps required to maximize my refund. Easy to understand all the way through.
What's not so great: Nothing about TurboTax 2014 bothered me.

My biggest complaint is the forms TT uses do not look like the IRS forms, though the line numbers usually match.
What's great about it: Can jump between forms and interview, and jump out of order.
What's not so great: The forms do not look like the standard IRS forms - WHY?

I appreciate Intuit going back to the investment forms. Had no idea they were omitted from 2014. Please keep Delux the same for next year. I need those investment forms like K-1.
What's great about it: good step by step instructions
What's not so great: had trouble with IRA rollover, should be better explained up front
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's not so great: Difficult to determine when standard deduction is better before doing all the work necessary to itemize.

Taxes are fun...not

Pretty easy to use, but it would be nice to copy and past from certain sections into a new return.
What's great about it: Pretty easy to use
What's not so great: Frustrating to have to fully start over and not select certain sections to copy

change format this year, but corrected at no expense to me. added the forms i used to get in the delux level

Costs have exceeded worth of product

There are 2 other very good Tax software companies that are happy to see Turbo Tax raise their prices because loyal customers are leaving to go elsewhere. I will do the same next year.
What's great about it: I've used Turbo Tax for over 10 years so it's easy.
What's not so great: The cost for Deluxe went up and so did state filing fee
